just going through a couple of reloading books and see that .30 mauser and 7.62 x25 tokarev both take .308 bullets and can push 90gr at 1600fps , it would seem that these would be ideal for 150gr rifle bullets at 1000fps , and very little messing about on the reloading, would work in a small action perhaps even a hornet sized , thought that 110gr vmax would make a fun plinker short vermin rifle
to those of you with more experience , is there a reason we dont see more of the chamberings , .300 whisper looks to be king , is that only because of its ability to exceed subsonic velocity?

Some 7.62x25 experiments...

The barrel has had a few changes as it is now threaded with a scope. Works well with a 9mm can. Just don't shoot any surplus (corrosive) ammo.

thats what i think iam looking for
what dies are you using
reamer/barrel maker/twist
weight of bullets + fps
lots of questions for you !
would have liked to used the encore but i dont think custom barrels are available here , not sure a smith would do the welding and machine work needed, , will need to find a small single shot action
