I recently purchased a remington model 700 xcr compact tactical, and was wondering what kind of luck the rest of the world is having with these guns

I'll let you know as soon as I get my scope on mine. Haha. I also just picked one up and so far I couldn't be happier. I've owned an LTR before and I like the XCR better in every way so far. I like the stock better, trigger is crisper, action is smoother, finish looks more robust, etc. I can't wait to get some glass on it and get to the range.
Thanks pal Ive actually replaced the factory stock with a stock off of a remington 5r milspec and have shot a little with some gold medal match. working on a custom load now, being new to the site if i can figure how to put up pics i will
