I recently picked up a 30p-1 after a long wait. It's my first suppressor so sorry if this is a stupid question. Is it normal to have some wobble in the fit when screwing it on? It snugs up when up against the shoulder with no wobble but has more than I expected when it's being screwed on.

Re: 30p-1 owners

Yes, the threads do not hold it straight-- they hold it on. They provide the tension that holds the rear surface of the suppressor against the shoulder of the muzzle threads. That it what keeps it straight.

When screwed onto Class 3A muzzle threads, there is usually very little play. When screwed onto muzzle threads that are cut smaller, you will have more wobble.

In either case, when it hits the shoulder it will become immobile.

FWIW, the fit on my AI-AW threads is generally loose, but no problem once cinched against the shoulder.

Thanks for the reply Zak. Tried to pm you with a question. Looks like your not accepting them. Any chance I can give you a call to,orrow with an issue I ran into today with the 30p-1? Spoke to Shane for a bit about it.

Re: 30p-1 owners

Hi,

Ray and I are both presently down in Logan NM doing final setup for the 2012 Steel Safari, so our connectivity is spotty. Definitely give his or my cell phone a try tomorrow- if we don't have signal leave a VM and we'll call you back. Shane will have the same info though.

thanks
