some discussion of the merits of running a 32" target barrel on a Kel Tec RFB. I cant understand why anyone would want to do this but they make the argument that doing so with 210gr VLD exceeds theballistics of a .30-06 and matches those of a .300 WM at 1000y. i am far from an expert reloader or ballistician but this looks like fuzzy math to me. I guess the arguement is that you can use a slow enough powder but i dont think the case capacity is large enough. why would you ever need 32" barrel? even for slow burning powder, isnt 26-28" about all you need?
Can anyone look at this and make sense of it or dispell their arguement?
Heres the thread
