338 Ammo, Corbon or Lapua?

For those that have some experience with both brands, which do you prefer? I shot both through my Savage (300gr variety) and both did very well. The Corbon speed was 2850 and the Lapua was 2750.

I was only able to shoot them on my local range which is only out to 600yds.

The reason I ask this is I have too much of each so I am looking at getting rid of one or the other. I only have about 120 rounds through the gun total, most of it Corbon. Checking to see if there is an opinion of which one tends to do better overall historically.

You've got to hit some BLM land if you want to get the most out of those loads. I like them both, though for the 300s I give the edge to Corbon. In 250s, Lapua grouped best of all the factory ammo I tested, but their 300s didn't group as well as the Corbon.

My rifle shoots both well (300gr), but shot the lapua better... As it should for $7 a round!

I have some BLM land to get on but need to get some larger steel. I think I will keep the Corbon and off load the Lapua. I hate to do it but I just bought a new Mountain bike and need to re-coup the money.

What kind of accuracy numbers are you guys getting with the Lapua 250gr. Scenars? I'm just starting to reload some Norma and Lapua brass with the 250's, and am curious what to expect. Gun is a TRG42 with a Nightforce Scope. Thanks.

250 Scenar has been my go to bullet for .338LM for the last few years. I know the 300s are really popular, but I've ultimately gotten better accuracy out to a mile. The only major difference is that the 300s buck the wind better. I've been pushing 250s with Lapua Brass, Fed215M and either RL25 or N570 close to 3000fps with good results.

A good friend that has been in the 338 game for a while said he finds his best results from a 300gr at 2650fps. I am not sure if he has played with the 250s at all. I think I am tied to the 300gr pills, just have way too much factory ammo in that weight to go to 250 after I shoot all this up and start reloading.
