338 Bullets, 250 Berger Hunter vs ELDX or ????

Need help finding a hunting bullet for a 338 lapua. Hunting bigger animals like big black bear, elk, moose, etc. What would be the preferred bullets to try? 300 grain is too heavy i feel, would like to stay 250-280 grain.

250 is more than enough

30 cal (30-06, 300wm etc) have been dropping those animals with old school 180 partitions for 50 + years

Never mind a 338 cal

Side note ; Personally I think the 300gr class Bullets are to heavy for the 338 lap in general
