.338 Edge Dies ???

Re: .338 Edge Dies ???

The bushing is the issue I have. I've always used basic redding dies and I cut necks for uniformity and neck tension. In the past I've bought remington brass the necks are horrible so I bought Nosler brass which are more expensive but were great. Noslers didn't need necks turned and dies gave me .015 neck tension. Maybe theres other brass I'm not aware of that Defensive Edge uses?

Re: .338 Edge Dies ???

Defensive Edge dies are Redding Comp.,I have the same dies also.I was going to try the dies from "Z-Hat" or something like that.He lays claim to the EDGE and calls it the "Ultra-Cat" it seems. He has a website but no ph# and makes it clear he communicates only by email.I sent him an email and made the mistake of referring to it as the 338 EDGE.I bought mine from Shawn Carlock and got a lot of info along with the dies, and no childish ego attitude to go with it.

Send you 300 RUM dies off to
JLC Precision (Jim Carstensen)
[email protected]
13095 450th Ave
Bellevue, IA 52031
Shop phone: (563) 689-6258, cell: (563) 212-2984

Have him convert the sizer to a neck bushing die for the 338 Edge, I had him do that to my 300 RUM dies, cheaper than going with another set of dies and you get a neck bushing die on top of it.

Here is where I found out about JLC http://www.6mmbr.com/catalog/item/1433308/892435.htm

Re: .338 Edge Dies ???

I just use the RCBS 338 RUM dies for mine. Works fine so far through 3 reloads. I back them off to just neck size and bump the shoulder. My rifle and load combination shoot better than I can so I don't get too retentive about reloading.
