Just got my build back from the smith and am looking to start my load developing. I'm running a 28" 1:9.4" barrel and am curious what people are using for loads. Seems to be an average of 92-94 grains with 300gr pills. Any info is appreciated.
I'm running a 28" Kreiger 1-10" twist. Remington brass, Federal GMM Mag primers. With 300gr Bergers I use 86.8gr of Ratumbo getting 2700fps and with 250 Sierra's I'm using 91 gr of RE-25 getting 3010fps.

just for comparison, my buddy and I built similar rifles with the same smith. his was barreled with a 6 groove 30" brux and mine a 5r bartlein 30". both heavy amu contours with different brakes and chassis. I loaded clear up to 96g with no heavy bolt lift and pretty flat primers. his rifle flattened primers at 92g. so always work your loads up.
I sold my Edge early last year but, when I was loading for it, I found my lot of H1000 varied from others. Don't just load 92 gr and go shooting. Find pressure for your lot of H1000 and rifle.
I settled on 91.3 gr behind a 300 SMK using Fed Mag primers. I was 0.020" off the lands in a 9.4 twist.

just a little update. my buddy's rifle seemed to like my 94.0g H1000 load's after all. this leads me to believe he has primer issue's. since all other components were purchased at the same time. oh and he got 2970fps reading from my new magnetospeed.
