The action started as a Winchester M70 Classic Stainless in 300RUM and milled out the rear of the magazine well for a Wyatt's extended box. The internal length is approximately 3.840" and windowed to hold three rounds down. It'll hold 1+1 with longer rounds with the bullet tip sitting in the feed ramp. FWIW, it feeds .300WinMags very well too.
The receiver threads have also been opened up to 1.0625" and the receiver faced perpendicular to the threads. The bolt face has also been dressed to match the receiver.
The bottom metal is a PTG "Oberndorf" style long action M70 also milled out to accept the Wyatt box. It's nothing fancy to look at but is robust and works.
The barrel is a 29" 1-9.5 Brux Heavy Varmint with a five-port Beast by Muzzle Brakes and More. With brake 31.5 inches. The overall weight of the rifle and scope is 17.8 lbs and with the Razor, Beast brake, a 300gr bullet at 2950 recoils about like a .243. The barrel currently has mid 200 documented rounds - 40 rounds of 300gr SMKs over IMR7977, and 60 rounds of 285ELDs over H1000 (original owner) plus 80 of N570 and 300 OTM after doing the +P chamber by Shawn Carlock. Load of 86 grains of 570, 300 OTM, BR2 is giving .5 (5 shots) at 2950 fps. Shawns load data says you can go to 100 gr N570. I left it at 2950.
The stock is a McMillan A-5 and bedded with Marine Tex. Hook was filled in and stock painted. The barrel is fully bedded forward to roughly the balance point and free floated forward from there. Adjustable cheek and ARCA rail added.
Includes set of +P dies with micro seater.
PTG .338 Edge reamer that has cut two chambers, a PTG .338 Edge Go-Gauge
-Redding FL neck bushing die and Competition Seater (directly from Defensive Edge)
-100pc Norma 300RUM and neck turned to .014 once fired.
-Approximately 270 Berger 300 OTM bullets.
Reason selling is Shawn just did a 300PRC +P for me with 215 bergers. No need for both rifles.
Rifle, dies, brass and bullets is $2200
Vortex Razor Gen 2 with rings, throw lever is $1600
