.338 lapua mag dies

Re: .338 lapua mag dies

RCBS GOLD series .338 LM bushing dies are pretty nice..they accept Redding Ti bushings, or RCBS's own neck bushing. Super easy to adjust, and the micrometer seater works great. Best feature is that window in the side of the seater die..drop in a bullet, then bring the charged case up into the die, and it's perfectly seated. The seating stem is also very long and deep, and works perfectly with the Berger Hybrid OTM's.

Re: .338 lapua mag dies

Have a Hornady Custom Grade F/L Set that seems to work fine and the Redding Competition Neck Busing set as well. One thing I noticed with the Hornady F/L dies (have three different sets for different cartridges) is that they seem to add a lot of neck tension where as the Redding or any of the bushing types give you a bit control.

But if money's no object the redding set seems very forgiving in terms of concentricity. But I'm also new and learning technique as I go along so all this FWIW.
