I am down to my last 50 Large Rifle Magnum primers. I have not found any more. I do however have a lot of CCI BR2 large rifle bench rest primers. I wonder if any one has any experience they could share using these primers with Retumbo in the .338 Lapua Magnum.

I am estimating that I might loose 50fps but that accuracy should not be harmed. Can anyone confirm this?

Never had experience with that primer but I can give you some magnum primers. What do you prefer or what does your bullet combo like, and what Rifle are you shooting.

You will chance having hang-fires without mag primers.....I found out the hard way. Large volumes of powder require a bit extra spark.

Hmmm, certainly something to consider. I am just having trouble getting my mind around how that could happen. I am not doubting your experience, I just do not understand it. It seems to me that if a spark gets into the powder it will burn. There may be a question of how completely it will burn before the bullet exits the barrel. I expect perhaps more muzzle flash/lower velocity if the powder is ignited by a smaller spark. My understanding of how guns/ammunition work does not lead me to expect hang fires. Can you explain how they might happen?

Thank You I truly appreciate the generous offer. I am looking for 215M's, are you experienced/trained and certified with haz-mat shipping?

Powder Valley has had Tula LRM in stock for quite a while. They may not be the best but the are available. Order asap though, they are still heavily backordered.
Thanks, I just have a bad taste left from the last time I used Tula products. I am also a little old fashioned this way, but today I am not sure that the current government of Russia is a friend of America, so I prefer not to support their arms industry.
