My new 338LM has a built-in 30 MOA rail. I want to used a color matched 20 MOA mount for the scope. Together this combo will tilt the scope by 50 MOA. The scope I am going to use is a SB 5-25x56 with about 90 MOA max elevation. Seems I would be ~5 MOA too high at 100 yd when I dial the elevation turret to the lowest setting (50 MOA minus 90/2 MOA).
If I zero the scope at 300 yd, should I be okay? From the the 338 LM drop chart I found online, it seems the trajectory would even out at about 250 yd with this setup. Am I close in the estimate? Thanks for your pointer on this!
