I went crazy and bought pretty much everything I need for a 338LM....except the gun! Been prepping brass for the past couple weeks slowly for something to do.

Got a crazy good deal on the Razor from here I couldnt pass up. Have a PST on order to go on the 308 pictured once I get the 110BA and the Razor will go on that.

Alright Flounder!

Every little thing helps is my explanation. Just because you dont have a custom gun doesnt mean you cant benefit from consistent ammo.

Also, neck turning IMO has nothing to do with the chamber, and everything to do with sizing the brass and bullet tension. If the neck walls are perfectly uniform, then when you size with a bushing you will have uniform bullet tension.

The only thing neck turning has to do with the actual chamber, as far as I know, is if you NEED to do it for an undersize chamber.

Also, even though the Lapua brass is probably the most uniform factory brass, I still had to take ~.0015 off each side in order to uniform it. This was after using a Standard FL die without an expander to take it down to .358 od, then expanding using K&M expander to .366 od, then trimming to get a consistent length, and chamfering and VLD'ing.

hahahaah. I knew Jon would say that. I said the same thing but all things considered that looking at the big picture, the more variables you can remove, really wont hurt anything. It may not help as much as it would in a custom or BR rig but it wont hurt which is where Jon is coming from.
