looking to load some 225gr bullets. I am planning on H-1000 or R-25.

Any input on starting and max loads?

I know the 225gr is not the best for loang range but I have close to 1k 0f them and think they may make a good fast load for a 1000 and under.

i assume that it is a 338 lapua mag improved?

If so the max recomended load by ADI for H1000 or AR2217 as it is called here is 101gr so i would use that as a fireforming load and work up from there. now if it is not a 338 Lapua improved you are on your own. the 225's will shoot fine to 1000 yards.

I'd just use the 250gr loading data for both of those powders that you're using in your 338LM/AI. It's a lighter bullet, so you'd need more powder for the 225s, which will make a good starting point.

I don't have any hard data for the AI, shooting only the STD cart.

Check in the RELOADING DEPOT at the top of the page.

update

102gr H-1000 225gr bullet and I get a slight ejector swipe

100gr H-1000 225gr bullet, no ejector swipe, primer looks good.
3073 fps with a 25" barrel.
