Hi All,

I am about to set up my new rifle, and i have to fireform my 375 CT brass to 375 ST brass.

I have always ladder tested my rifles, and plan to do so with this new build. I have however never had to fireform brass.

Is my plan right:

1. just shoot off all 75 rounds of 375 CT brass using a cheap projectile, and use 130 grains of H50BMG
2. perform ladder test on newly fireformed brass

If i just fireform like above, is using 130 grains too much, should i save on the noise and recoil and use a lower amoumt?

My farmer said "makes no difference to ladder testing whether you ladder test and fireform the brass at the same time in the same shots"... cannot see how that is correct, but i could be wrong?

If it’s in a new barrel that I’ve never shot before I like to do a quick ladder test and then load the rest of the new brass to what I find from that ladder so I have something at least reasonable for forming the rest of the brass with instead of blindly loading it all to a scatter node. Once it’s all formed I’ll do a proper ocw.
