Ile Bizard near Montreal
just bought a brand new Sako Kodiak in 37 H@H
shot some reload and if I measure the Remington brass they are to specs
and after firing the stretch .020 on average
got some factory ammo and they are before firing the same thing than the Remington empty brass and after firing the same some .020 of stretch
measurement are taken with a vernier and stoney point attachment
from bottom of case to end of shoulder
is this stretching normal.....or do I have a to long chamber...

Re: 375 H@H cases stretching

I have a 375h&h that does the same thing. Careful resizing can eliminate a lot of the stretch. The chambers seem to be generous for reliable feeding with a big/dangerous game cartridge like this.

How did you resize the brass for the reloads?

Yes, the H&H tends to stretch pretty good.
You can minimize this by running the headspace with a crush fit (don't set back the "shoulder" during resizing). Done this way the H&H to headspaces on the "shoulder".
Do this for practice then open the clearances for hunting.
