Re: 375 Snipe tac and twist ????
Fotis
Will need to know the following to nail this down with certainty:
Bullet length
Muzzle Velocity
Bullet mass
Pressure Altitude
And what Sg you desire to call "stabilized"
That said...given a 350 SMK-
Bullet Length- 1.8"ish"
MV= 3200 fps
Weight= 350 grains
PA=4000'
<span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="color: #009900">Sg=1.93</span></span>
Given a 370gr RMB AT
Bullet Length- 1.965"ish"
MV= 3175 fps
Weight= 370 grains
PA=4000'
<span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="color: #FF6600">Sg=1.57</span></span>
I'll plug
Bryan Litz book, and
Patagonia Ballistics software. If your in the pre-build decision making process, those two references along with real world experiences from others, will put you in good shape.
Bryan Litz recommends a <span style="font-style: italic">minimum</span> of 1.4 Sg in his book, and a popular trend seems to be a Sg of 2.0 or so.
Hopefully there will be someone that posts with real world experience with that twist.
Hope that helps.
