Rifle Scopes $400-700 Scopes. Suggestions?

Put basically this same question in the bolt-action forum yesterday when I should have placed it here. Bushnell Elites, Nikon Monarchs and Viper Vortex have been brought up already. Anyone used any of the above and have a recommendation? Any others I am missing?

Should be a bunch of threads out there on those three. Lots of experience with the Elites. Good scopes. No experience with the other two. The attached might be helpful.

Falcon Menace, people are on the fence about them as they have had a few quality issues but there are also many that love them.

SWFA SS. the 3-9 or the 10xHD. All the features you need at an affordable price. I sold a Viper and a Mk4 in favor of the 3-9 SS.

The SS series also look into the Sightron SIII fixed tacticals.

I'm damn happy with my Monarch scopes, but then again, I'm not shooting out to 1000 yards either. They work well for hunting purposes.

I have yet to find 1 bad review about Vortex Vipers, and I've been reading a lot of reviews. I've compared them outside mid day to the Monarchs and glass quality is equal. Pretty sure I'll be ordering a 6.5-20x44 mil or BDC to put on my 22-250 for coyotes.

I just picked up a Bushy 6500 Elite 2.5-16x42 in that price range. I'm very happy with it so far(just looking through it, havent made it to the range yet).

I really love my Bushnell Elite 3200 5-15 Tactical mil dot. It was $389.

Thanks for all the suggestions gents, keep them coming. Soon as I sell either my AR upper, or the whole thing, or my VA money comes in I will be picking one of these up. I guess I should have said that I am putting it on my 308 bolt gun for F-T/R class shooting up to 1000yds. Does that change anyone's opinions they have given so far?
