A friend has a Holland and Holland 400 H&H I understand this is a 375 H&H necked up.
He is not a reloader and needs ammo for a African trip any suggestions?
This is not something I know anything about but he asked so I started here.
Thanks PG

Actually, Elmer Keith was a proponent of .40 cal bullets in big bore rifles. It's a rare one, but he had a hand in the .400 OKH (O'Neil-Keith-Hopkins,) which is based off the .375 H&H case with sharp necks and necked up. The 400 H&H came after that, evidently, in the 80s. There's a good article in the July issue of G&A, about some of those .4xx caliber big game cartridges.

I think it was a .411" bullet, weighing 400grs at 2400 fps. I'm sure that the H&H is similar.
