I tried the search function, but came up with nothing.....
I'm building a long range stick to go where my 338 struggles. Got everything ordered for a cheytac except the barrel. I'm pretty sure the .375 is the way to go, but my OCD's screwing with me.
Is there a reason to go with the 408 over the 375? Just like to hear from some of you with experience with these rifles, and what you like or recommend.
    Thanks in advance!

375CT with the 350 Jamisons rocks at distance. .1 BC at 3150 fps pretty much says it all.

Hearsay from a friend reports 408 was about the same as a 338L with 300 grainers in the wind. More thwack of course with a 419 grainer.

One thing I found disappointing about shooting solids is it's hard to see impacts on steel 2000Y away. Most of the time you can hear the sound of the impact or see the steel move but clueless as to where on the steel you're hitting.

If Berger comes out with a .375 conventional bullet with a 9+ BC I'll consider a 375 Snipetac.

steve, that is exactly why I stopped shooting solids. Would be exellent if Berger released a 375 Hybrid, I would probably get back in to another 375chey rifle.
