40x Part

Does anyone remember if the 40x .22's are supposed to have a thin piece of metal between the trigger guard and stock?

I vaguely remember something about them??

Yes, For CMP rifles those are the 40-X Std barrel or the 40-X USMC stocks with the BDL floorplate look-a-like. There is a is a small thin piece of metal that goes between the floorplate trigger guard and the stock right in the trigger area. The 40-XB the one with the heavy barrel that only has the small trigger guard similar to ones found on ADL rifles; those do not have the small plate between the trigger guard and stock.

If it is based on the 722 it does. you can find it on ebay, numrich, and i think even brownells has it

thanks guys.

I am pretty sure mine does require one as the bolt hangs up when the action screws are tight.

Didn't see them on Numrich thats why I asked the board.
