I have 40X trigger that has been further tuned and is great. However, I'm putting in a side bolt release system on my action so I won't need the stock bolt release that's on the trigger. I'd like to remove the button all together, will this affect the trigger negatively?

Just wondering why do you want to install a side bolt release? Do you think there is some sort of advantage? If so what?

I was under the impression that this system is a better way to go; It's more robust and has better functionality. It doesn't cost that much to have it done so why not?

You will be fine i did the samething to my 6.5x55 but it was cause the bolt release would stick.

Removing the factory bolt release will not affect your trigger settings.
However I am a big fan of fixing problems, not just adding mods.
