Excited to use this this year here in Indiana.

I bought the upper and put it on my Spikes Lower that I built. Looking for some better glass to put on it now. Only fired 2 shots so far as I just got the upper last night. This thing is going to be amazingly fun to shoot!

Let me know what you think.

Re: 450 Bushmaster

I want to get one for my RRA, from what I understand the only thing you need to change on the lower is a buffer spring, is this correct? Also can you use the same magazines that you have for your 5.56 or are they different since it would be single stack?

Great pictures and sweet rifle, you've got me drooling.

Thanks! I received the Viper 2x7 today and it looks a lot better than what I had on it. While I have only put 5 rounds through it I did not change the buffer spring and it shoots great withthe standard spring. The magazine is the same size but I have read that you only need to make minor mods to the lips of the 556 mags to allow the 450 to feed properly from them. I plan on doing the mod to a 556 30 rd pmag to see how it feeds.

Re: 450 Bushmaster

I do not recall where I read an article but I remember reading that if you began having cycling issue it could be because of the buffer spring, also it might be better on your shoulder if you happen to be recoil sensitive.

Sure would like to see a range report. Good shooting and good luck.

Re: 450 Bushmaster

awesome round, I had the chance to shoot one from a guy at the public range, it is defenitly an AR with some recoil, kinda like shooting a 12 guage. I really liked it and hitting the big gong at 200 was easy and rewarding.
congrats and save your brass.
