Almost got enough $ saved to get a reloader so I started looking at my 45 acp brass that I have been collecting. About half is from my gun and the other half is what I pick up while at the range( I did get the rangemasters blessing first).

I noticed that some of the brass has a small ding/crease in it(lets say 1/8 inch or less) and can barely be felt with your finger. Is that ok to be reloaded/shot or does it need to be in 'like new' condition? The other thing I have noticed is that some of the openings are not perfectly round. Its not like someone stepped on them but more like a little flatter spot or just out of round. Same thing....am I ok to reload/shoot those as well?

Thanks for the help with these beginner questions....

Jiut about all types of semi auto guns, not all guns in a certain catagory, will ding cases upon ejection, It's really no big deal, just size and shoot.
One thing you can do, figure out if your gun is doing it to the brass. If it's a 1911 style, a simple recoil spring change, or an extractor tweak can eliminate this. 18lb for 230gr full house loads, 15-16lbs for light 185 practice rounds. Once you start handloading you'll be more in tune with what I'm saying.
