Welcome to the forum. You might see more support if you take some time and write out a full question. A lot of knowledge on here, but it helps to make it easy on the people you're asking.
Well I do a lot of reloading have great rifle loads but since hard to find supplies I carry a 45LC cant find casing so I have .454 that I've turned down but since it has small primer pocket verses a large what be a good load for back up pistol
Absher58 what style of bullet and weight do want to use Lead or Jacketed ?
What brand is your 45 Colt revolver ? not ALL 45 Colt revolvers have the same strength to able to handle different pressure levels.
It's pretty hard to find any other handgun cartridge that is as versatile as the good old 45 Colt. If you're into reloading, here's some valuable load data to get you started.
I'm still not getting it. What do you want the loads to be able to do? You can use std 45 Colt data which is abundant, but going beyond that generally requires a pretty sturdy revolver. Loads that will be reasonably comfortable with a derringer could be lighter yet.
