Hi, awhile back I read about a fellow who was looking for the Redfield scope in 4x12x40. As many as he could get. What do you think his motive was. Is this scope something that may be easy to upgrade to a higher power? Always wondered what he was up to. Thanks for looking.

Redfield was the Leupold in its day, quality scopes with good glass and made in the USA, as for upgrading, not sure they are good candidates for that.
