Has anyone here loaded for this caliber yet? Done lots of looking on other sites, but not too helpful. I was wondering if there is any data out there for rifle powders? All I have found is mainly pistol powder loads. Any input will be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Re: 5.7X28 Load data.

I have looked there, all the load data I found was for pistol powders like Blue dot. I have a 16" upper and want to know if its even feasable to use rifle powder in this cartridge?
Thanks

I have been loading it for a good while and it is very picky, at least for the pistol.</div></div>

those loads work in both. a lot of them on there are for p90 as well.

I know they will work in both pistol or rifle format, what I'm looking for is load data that uses rifle powder vs pistol powders if they exist? Thanks

Re: 5.7X28 Load data.

Try looking at something like the 20 VarTarg to get an idea on powder charge.

I compared 223 loads to published 204 loads as part of a way to determine starting points for unpublished bullet weights in the 204, worked fine.

You have to be careful and realize you're going to spend time working on a load.
