Well, two days ago in Hong Kong, Christies sold the only known pair of Fréres Rochat singing bird pistols, and they sold for a lot - $5,866,499 to be exact. Um, by the by, that is more than the one of a kind reference 1527 Patek that sold last year at Christies Geneva for $5.6m.

i figured there was no way these things were worth the price, then the cross section/ghost view of the mechanics and operation, all done in the early 1800's? wow
