In no particular order (and not very specific...but):
1) a good 1911;
2) a good .22LR rifle (whether bolt action or semi-auto...user choice/preference);
3) an AR-15 (again...user choice/preference on how its setup and in what caliber);
4) a good 12ga shotgun (again...user choice/preference on how its setup); and
5) a high-end bolt action rifle in a centerfire caliber of at least .308Win or larger.
1) 12 Ga.
2) AR-15
3) 1911
4) Double action Revolver, I'm partial to the .44 mag, but it's because I'm compensating.
5) Scoped precision type rifle in a suitable hunting caliber.

Every true American closet holds:
12G Shotgun
.22
30-06, scoped
30-30
.45 or .357 Magnum(or larger) or in the case of those who cannot handle a full house gun, a 9mm, .40, other dimunitive worthless cartridge
What they SHOULD hold:
12G semi auto shotgun
AR
308(bolt or gas), scoped
'Basic Hunting Rifle' ie, Remy 788, or other 18" 308
SKS/AK(gotta have at least one commie gun!)
I have said if you are to own 1 gun - a six inch 44, I prefer a smith. You can hunt,home defense, carry in a car or bag and with cast 44 specials is reasonable $ for practice, once it goes to five - to hard to decide
-Bolt action open sights 22lr.
I love the 10/22 but in a pinch a bolt action will run 22shorts shot shells and other crap ammo that the 10/22 wont.
-Glock 17
yes I perfer a .45 but 9mm ammo is cheapper more plentiful. And sorry Guys the Glock is my choice over the 1911 easier to clean and runs like an AK.
-Reminton 870 12ga.
Always works but a Moss 500 would also do.
-Saiga 223
What can I say it is essentially an AK so it will run like a rapped ape. Here again easier for field maintenance and not near as picky as any AR I have ever had.
