Hunting & Fishing 5 Nice Aoudad Rams

Our group hunt on my new property in the Terlingua area paid off big time this past week. 6 hunters and 6 rams down and we took some great ones at that. A blast was had by all and it was a great group effort on everyone's parts. I cant download the 6th picture, sorry.

No worries, lots of big rams running around right now.


As for Aoudad taste- Big rams are 10+ years old. Try eating a 10 year old goat or sheep and you will have your answer.
Its not so much the taste but the meat is extremely tough, even the back straps are.

We butchered a 2 year old bull (bovine) several years ago and the meat was so lean that the hamburger was tough... Sometimes there isn't much you can do to salvage the meat for quality table fare...
