I just bought an Ar-10 built on a DPMS lower and I'm trying to figure out which 5 and 10 round magazines are recommended. It doesn't look like there are many options out there and pretty much all I came up with from a search was Armalite Gen 2. I need a few for hunting, what do you guys use?

Firsts off...it isn't an AR-10 which may ne causing you search problems. AR-10 = Armalite and not DPMS, etc. Since you built on a DPMS lower, you need mags that are DPMS/KAC pattern such as those made by DPMS, KAC, Magpul, C-products, etc.

For 5 and 10 rounders, I recommend you search the Hide for a company called MidwestPX. They offer blocked and cut-down versions on the Magpul 20LR PMAGs in those capacities that will work well with you rifle. I use them for hunting where my state restricts mag capacity of hunting rifles to 5 rounds.

I've got a couple of 10-round DPMS mags for my LMT MWS and they work fine, except will only hold 9 rounds. No big deal... I have heard complaints about 5-rounders fitting flush with the bottom of the mag well and being more difficult to get out. A 10 (9?)rounder works fine off of the bench and is not in the way for hunting.
