Suppressors -5 Shot Leather for IWB?-

During my search for my first Milt Sparks VMII I found that I can either wait for the Sparks, or select from a few other companies now, one of which is 5 Shot leather and their LA-CCS holster. I'm pretty sold on the VMII, but this seems like an enticing option and it's ready to go NOW. I'm plannimg on carrying a 4.25" 1911 at about 4/5 o'clock, what's the good word fellas? Wait on Sparks or pull the trigger on the 5 Shot?

Just received my VMII back in October for my T-3 and have been very happy, but I have heard nothing but good things about 5-Shot leather. Check out the things being said over on the Louder Than Words Forums about 5-shot. Hope this helps.

I guess it all depends on how long your willing to wait...If your sure that a Sparx VMII is what you need...Then I would just order that & wait...I would also look into the Nossar Valovak...It's sooo good!!!
John Ralston (5 Shot) is one hell of a holster maker...& a good friend too...I own an IBS from him & it fits like a glove...I will be getting another one from him at (CP 4.25) at the Shot Show...5-Shot wil not disappoint you.

My only concern is the spacing of the loops on the 5S versus MS and how it will affect the way I want to carry it. I feel like the wider spacing of the loops on the MS will be a tad more forgiving of being rotated a bit back toward the 4/5 position I'm talking about than the closer spacing of the 5S, which may be backwards. Jeez, could holsters be any more confusing? It seems like people either reccomend the MS VMII or every single person has their own individual manufaturer they consider the best making it impossible to cross-shop! Maybe I should just buy an ugly ol' CrossBreed after all!

Well if I go that route I'd be ordering it from a third party, so it's as it sits with no wait, in stock, ready to go. It's built for my pistol, but no custom tweaks or anything else. The Nossar looks like a great option, but they're not even accepting orders right now according to their website.

It's between the LA-CCS which is VERY similar in design to the VMII or a VMII that this same third party will be getting in a couple of weeks in Cordovan, when I really want black.

Heck of a choice... the holster I want and everyone says to get in a color I don't want, or a holster I have little knowledge of all ready to go... neither at a price cheap enough not to worry about these details.

It's a IWB....Who cares about the color...Besides im pretty sure it's not real shell cordovan anyways, so you can just die the mother fucker black...LoL'
I was almost gonna offer you my Nossar but I dont think I can part with it...It's toooo kool!!!

Well that may settle it considering the VMII is cheaper at this site too, $125 versus $160 for the 5-Shot. My only concern about the color was the belt loops in that they would stand out even more considering I almost always wear shades of black/black belts and end up screaming "there's a holster in here!" thereby defeating the purpose, you know? Taking the risk of dying the Milt Sparks is something I'm not wealthy enough to risk. This is already more money than I should be spending on anything, but what good are a 1911 and a concealed carry permit if you can't use the two in conjunction.

If you do feel like selling that Nossar... you know where to find me... looks about perfect for how I want to carry too, just sayin

5 Shot is local to me I believe, I'm pretty sure I sold him a Glock. Nice guy and well respected in holsters from what I've read. I wouldn't hesitate to buy from him.
