I used mine quite a bit (and my theiving friends continue to use them) and see no issues at all. If I recall correctly, he did have an option to make the cut thicker for "bar" use.

Crusader Products, retired SF guy I met a SHOT in 2010. I got 25 bottle openers and 25 cork screws with the Triad Logo etched on them.
