Rifle Scopes 50 bmg scope options / upgrade

I've been using a SWFA SS 20X atop a Barrett M99 and have been generally satisfied. However, I think a scope with more clarity and the variable power adjustment would help me battle mirage and overall perform better during matches.

Leupold Mark 4 and Nightforce NXS scopes dominate the line at FCSA matches. Now and then a SWFA SS 20X or similar is found in the mix. I'm currently considering the SWFA SS 5-20X as a viable option to the Leupold or Nightforce NXS scopes.

As far as quality, clarity, adjustments, and support goes, which would be my best option for the big 50? I've not heard of anyone running the SWFA SS 5-20X on a 50,

I hear USO has a new "Long Travel" 5-25 TPAL coming out.
There is also the SN9 if you want to get crazy.

I believe the 5x20 has better glass than the two you listed or at list equal as that is different for everyone. To me it is. I have the 5 x20 on mine.

Is in the magnification range that I'm looking for and can be had for about $900. Any thoughts on the Sightron scopes atop a 50 and their overall features and performance?

Seen some good things on this scope. I did not like the size of the scope as it is large and also the had to run the par. almost to infinity at two hundred. Might have been a dud.

With the "facebook" sale I decided to finally take the plunge into SWFA's HD line-up. The 5-20X will be here tomorrow along with a set of Barrett rings. I'll have my "dream set-up" I guess. I'll leave the 20X in the original Barrett rings that came with the rifle and put the new scope in the new rings for my primary optic. The 20X will go along with me to the matches as a back-up for quick replacement if the primary fails.

My .50 will be getting the ss 5-20 as well. I bought one last year but it ended up on my rem .308
