Hey all, I'm out of here Monday morning, heading out for the<span style="font-style: italic"> 5th Annual Once in a Lifetime Fishing Trip</span>, to Kodiak Alaska. I'll post pictures when I return (July 28th). While I am away Joel and Neil will be holding down the place. Please feel free to call them (212-753-5128) to see how things are going or e-mail them: Joel - cameralandaol.com Neil - cameralandneilaol.com I am sure they'll really appreciate the show of love and support for them in my absence

Re: 5th Annual Once in a Lifetime Fishing Trip

We got back yesterday and the trip was great. The weather was good with flat to 3' seas so getting out fishing everyday was no problem. Fishing was slow for Kodiak and we were only able to net 500 pounds of filets (yes, that is slow for a week in Kodiak, we're so spoiled).
One of the guys this year has been posting a blog about the trip that's worth taking a peek at.

Here's a few images from this year:

Re: 5th Annual Once in a Lifetime Fishing Trip

The first year when I duscussed going with my fishing buddy both of our wives agreed that we should do it as it was a "Once in a lifetime" thing to do. We've managed to go every year since, hence the "Once in a Lifetime" title and now it is an annual trip. We can fish 6 guys on the boat so every year is it Art (Captain), Art's Son Riley (First Mate), Me & my buddy Chris. This leaves 2 openings for this "Once in a Lifetime" opportunity. All the guys we fish with are lined up to fill those two spots for the next few years

Mad props to you for making that time available every year for friends. My buddies and I are starting the tradition this year, despite various issues with finances and available time. I think when we're all 88 and looking back on life, few of us will wish we'd spent another few days in the office instead of hunting or fishing with our buddies.

The greatest sign I ever read was in a travel agents office and it altered the way I live my life. It read <span style="font-style: italic"><span style="font-weight: bold">"Fly first class. If you don't your children will"</span></span>
We only get one go round so I try my best to do all I can. It is amazing how quickly the $$$ add up when I stash $20.00 or so a week.
