I have a bergara hmr that I used for target only using 140gr eld-m. I am going to start hunting whitetail and Muel deer with the gun and was going to switch to a vld 140 when the elite hunter 156 grabbed my attention. Should I test the 156 out or is there a better option?

Unless you already have RL-26, you’re probably not going to get any for a long time. That said, without it, the 156 are probably too heavy for a creed. They’d be more at home in a PRC, SAUM, or Sherman.

Yes, nothing is available. RL26 is no more scarce than anything else.
I was curious to whether there was something particular with RL26.
It's been that way for basically a year or more so every person that says try it has been under rock or is in denial.
Even before the recent shortages/panic buys, 26 is hard to find. They release it in batches and it gets bought up PDQ it seems...
