I am trying to decide on barrel length for a GAP-10 in 6.5 Creedmoor. I know 22" would give more velocity but I usually prefer 20" or less for AR-10 type rifles as they seem to get unwieldy and long once you go over 20" (especially with a suppressor). I will probably be shooting Hornady factory ammo most of the time. What do you guys think? Would 20" still be able to wring the benefits of the 6.5 CM out of this gun? Thanks!

15-17 fps / in so 30 - 34 fps difference, I don't see that making an appreciable difference.

Given your stated preference of 20" for handling, I'd go 20" on barrel and not look back.

Little piece of advice, don't shoot the new factory ammo. I'm shooting a custom with a brux barrel and tried the 120's and the 140's all of them showed pressure signs and I stopped after about 5 each when the primers blew. Just a little FYI. They aren't using h4350 anymore but they wouldn't tell me what their new powder is.
