I just trashed about 30 pieces of brass using the washer over the case method of using a 6.5 creedmoor collet die to load 6.5 prc. Everything started out just fine and a few cases in something went awry and started buckling the neck a minute amount. Just enough that I could barely tell looking side by side next to virgin brass.

I'm giving up on the collet die for this cartridge.

What's the best budget die setup for the PRC right now? I'm thinking the redding type "S" full bushing die and the forster micrometer seating die. What bushing size(s) for the redding? I've never used a bushing die before and I'm a bit out of my element.

Cant go wrong with a Type- S bushing die in my opinion.
There is also the the honed neck option from Forster and i believe Hornady will buld you a custom set if you send a few fired cases.
I may be in minority on this but i believe to get the most out of any of these options you should be neck turning your brass to achieve the best consistency.

redding national match nmc set 39446 for a 6.5 creedmoor will work for getting your neck to hold a bullet at least it has for me with out having to buy any bushings . Good luck which ever dies you get or how ever you decide to get what you wanted . I always thought they make it harder to figure out what you need in hopes you buy a ton of stuff you neither want nor need on purpose .
