I just bought me Savage in 6.5 Creedmoor. I will be reloading for it, the problem is there is not much info on it out there. I am using Hornady brass, CCI Benchrest Primers, Hornady 140 Hollow Points. I have 8208 XBR, Varget, and IMR 4064 on hand, and would prefer to use this. But, I am willing to use other powders. If anyone wants to share their recipes would be greatly appreciated. Also, I know that the .260 Rem and 6.5 Creed. are fairly close, would I be able to use .260 reloading info for 6.5 Creed.?
Thanks.

Re: 6.5 Creedmoor Load Info.

Try a box of factory Hornady 140 amax. Generally shoots in all Creedmoor rifles. Reloading info on box and is a great starting point. I went to 140 Berger VLD/H4350 powder.

Re: 6.5 Creedmoor Load Info.

I just got a test packet of McCourt Munitions 130 VLD's/H4350.

I will let you know when I get velocities and dope on it, it may be a week or two. I don't know powder charges and seating depths but depending on how well mine shoots it may be worth looking at McCourt for your needs.

I was told IT SHOULD run anywhere between 2820-2850, maybe a little more from a 21" Rock barrel

Tha coupled with a .552 BC it should shoot extremely well, 3.2 MOA wind at 600 in a 10 mph full value and only 11 MOA to 600, which is great to me because most comps I shoot are 700 and in.
