I’m about to start loading 6.5 Creedmoor and I’ve got a general question that Im looking for some help with.
I see a lot of loads that are using H4350 but that powder seems to difficult to source online and nearly impossible to find locally with the limited number of reloading shops in my area.
So, my question is “what would be another powder to choose that is reliable and relatively easy to source?” I want to avoid putting in the time to find something that works but then not being able to put a few hundred rounds together because I can’t source the powder.
I’m looking to put together rounds that will be used to shoot paper and steel out to 300 yards and I’m not looking for benchrest accuracy, just something that will be “respectable” at that distance using a 24” 1:8 twist barrel
The components that I’ve put together do far:
- Hornady Brass
- Winchester Large Rifle Primers
- 100 each of 140 and 130 Hornady ELDs
