6.5 creedmoor powder

Who cares what published book maxes are? They are not the actual max for your specific rifle unless you test for it and it coincidentally happens to be. Otherwise, I'd load up way past it, but start low, and fire away starting from the least charge weight moving up. Once you find pressure signs, log that down and note it as max for your rifle. Do not exceed.

Reloder 16, 17, H4350 will definitely work. 43.9 is one book max with H4350 at 2950.

You should be able to use any book with a 120g bullet.

42-44gr of H4350, Reloder 16, or Reloder 17 will get you to 2950 out of a 24" barrel. Start low and work up.

No data at Hodgdon for CFE-223 in 6.5 Creed w/142 SMK. Probably reasonable to not use CFE-223 w/heavy bullets in 6.5 Creed.
Only have CFE-223?
No, I have other powders, it’s just that this burning rate seems like it might do well. Win-748 did pretty well, so maybe I’ll stick with that.

Just got an 8-lbs jug of StaBall-6.5 ... looking forward to trying it out soon. Built a ladder test, now waiting for a good weather day. As I've been schooled lately, it's not about a high velocity. It's about finding (a) the level point in the velocity curve, that (b) produces consistently tight groups. I'm learning that the quest for the highest velocity ... isn't the best approach.
