Have you tried search? I think it will do best. But since I'm typing, I love my Creedmoor. It is on a Savage action with a 30" Bartlein 5R 1:8.5" barrel. shoots Handloads and Hornady Match ammo at .3MOA. You need to say what you plan on using the gun for so you can get some better info but if your not worried about length and weight then go with a 28-30" barrel. The original testing was done with a 28" barrel from what I understand. Rob01 was one of the original guys shooting this caliber with a ton of success. He uses a 28" barrel

28" Kreiger barrel on a Remington action pushing 139's at 2815 fps. With 2k through the tube I'm really liking mine.

Rem action all the works done to it
Kreiger 26" 1 1/4" barrel with break 1-8 twist
AICS 1.5 stock.
Rifle is a lazer beam with 140 handloads. I have to try to miss. Only problem was when I first got it componants were a little hard to get. Good luck.

I know its the bolt action forum, but my Creedmoor is a POF-USA gasgun and I like it so much the my 7-08 may be getting a new barrel when I can swing it to have everything on the same page.
I was shooting 8.8 mils to 994yds yesterday, and that's with factory ammo and a 20" barrel....

I finally got mine out to 1000yds this weekend. I didn't have time to do any load development as we had a Competition so I had to sight in and use what I thought was going to work. 140 AMAX's over 42.5 grns H4350. Wind gust were 5-25mph which was throwing everybody off. I ended up placing 2nd. We had 3 338 Lapuas and a couple 7mm guns as well in the competition and the 6.5mm were killing them. The guy that beat me was running a .260 with 140 grn AMAX's also and the third place guy was a 6.5mm as well. Needless to say, you will be more than amazed with this cartridge and the bullets that are offered in 6.5mm.
