I have a Patriot Valley 6.5 Creedmoor barrel on an Ruger Precision Rifle and I have a question about reloading/headspacing. Is it normal to have two firings on the Lapua Brass and still be able to chamber the brass without resizing it. I had a .308 palma chambered rifle built by Roscoe and I could barely chamber once fired and never could I chamber twice fired brass. Is this a difference in the tolerances in the chambers or is the head space on the RPR too long. As info Go Gauge fits and No Go Gauge doesn't fit.

    Thanks!!!!

If it’s gauging correct, you’re fine. The creedmoor, with its straighter body and steeper shoulder is probably what’s separating it from your .308 experience. What was your load? If there isn’t much pressure the brass just won’t move much. Also, Have you taken headspace measurements yet between virgin and 2x fired, and gauges?
