I am really thinking of getting a 6.5 creedmore barrel for my MWS in the coming months. I am planning to get a noveske barrel converted to work for me by DBMG.

However, is 20" enough length to be worthwhile in a gas gun? I have been in contact with noveske and a 24" version has been talked about but so far I have not heard solid word on that.

I will also be using this with my surefire 762ss can when ever that shows up, so keep that in mind when posting a reply.

Those of you with 6.5 CM in a gas gun, what kind of velocities are you getting? What length barrel do you have?

Built this same rifle, 24" barrel, on a AR 10T base. Shoots great, but way too much gas. Needs an adjustable gas block, rips the follower out of the mag otherwise, on last round. With the 24, shot great out to 800, didn't stretch it past there. Being as it's a 6.5CM, though, thinking it should be be good.

FWIW, GAP supplied bolt, barrel and headspacing, of course it shot good! Thanks George!
