This may be the wrong place to ask but here goes. Has anyone had an issue with the case splitting midway between the shoulder and the rim? The split was about 5/8" long on 4 cases out of 12 that were shot, did not try the last 8 in the box, I am thinking they said it was 140 gn. new ammo, The POI was all over a 2" group at 100 yds. Changed to some hand loads with no problems.

What brand? Lot Number?

6.5 what? There’s only about a million different chamberings.

Any actual measurements or specs? What brand case/ammo?

And of course that’s happened to others hit usually they provide at least basic details of what’s going on.

So the consensus so far is it’s either the rifle or the ammo and that’s the best you’ll get without any actual details.

And also, they said it was 140 grain ammo. Who the hell is they? And if it's factory ammo why do they have to tell you what it is instead of the box having all the info?

Doesn't sound like you bought factory ammo.

Stello1001, I do know that it sounds like you just got up on the wrong side of the bed or with a chip on your shoulder. But to answer some of your requests, "They" were my son and I did not see the box for the lot # and did not wish to name the company without knowing just what could be going on, Sorry I didn't say 6.5 CM, S&B was the brand. The rifle was a 1500 Howa.

Did it split lengthwise?
