I have heard that back in the early days of the cartridge, people were making the grendel out of the AK round. The price of brass has dropped considerably, but I have a friend whom I recently discovered throws away his spent AK brass and if I can make good use of it I would be more than happy to do the work. Brace yourselves, several questions incoming.
1) Is the military surplus brass he is shooting for the AK worth reloading?
2) Can I resize the brass using just my die and trimmer or does it have to be fire formed?
3) Can I fire form the brass in a gas gun?
4) Does all 7.62 russian brass use the same size primer? The spent cases I was looking at had small rifle primers, but I was looking at some other sources that mentioned that some came with the large.
Thanks for the help in advance
