Hey all, new here and in need of help.

I have a R700 SA currently in .308 and I am about to send it off to a gunsmith to re-barrel, chamber, and blueprint. I want to go ahead and choose a DBM and Brake.

From my research it seems that MDT AICS mags w/o binder plate will feed the PRC well with boxed 143ELD-X. It looks like there are several companies that make DBM that will work for me. The Grayboe and Pacific Gauge and Tool are the two that are most appealing to me, mostly because of the price and it seems that these 2 models are a little under the radar.

I appreciate all the help.

Your GS may also need to open up the feed rails inside the receiver to accomodate the wider cartridges. The factory Remington short-mag actions are different from the standard .308 class actions. Notching the feed ramp may also be necessary, but is quick&easy work with a 1/4 or 5/16 endmill and chamfer tool.

I run PTG DBM because it's cheap and it works. There are other options with different perks that work. I would also go with Accurate WSM magazines, or American Rifle Co. 10-rnd 308 mags. with just a little bit of feedlip bending I've had good success with my 6.5 SAUM, and you'll need even less with the PRC (slightly smaller body dia.). Can fit 5-6 in a mag.

Thanks for all the help guys.

Excited now being as i just purchased:
Kreiger 1-8" Heavy Palma
Precision Armament M11 brake

Accurate Mags WSM 7 round

Scalpel rifles O-ring bolt knob

Will post before and afters.

Again thanks all.
