I have a 6.5 SAUM being spun up. The builder has a .298 neck reamer (no neck turn). I was able to get my hands on some ADG 6.5 SAUM brass. ADG says its brass is 'designed to work in .296 neck chambers. My question is, will I have problems running this brass in a chamber cut for a .298 neck? Only think I can think of is over working brass a bit when sizing after firing.

Seat some bullets in your brass and measure the neck diameter. Then you can make a better decision.

Thanks Sean. What mags are you running with yours? I'm thinking about tweaking the feed lips on an ARC with 419 extension.
The only mag I can get to hold 10 is an alpha , which works great for me. Ai and accurate mags both work but with the 419 extension only hold 9 . The Arc will work great with a little modification and probably hold 6-7 with the extension

The 298 neck will be just fine and possibly better than the 296 I like a little extra room and the saum runs a lot of dirty powder.

Yep, it certainly will.

The problem both myself and a friend had with Norma brass in our 6.5 4s chambers were there wasn't hardly enough neck expansion happening. I had to take .002 off my no turn chamber/.298 brass and he had to take the same amount off his turn neck/.296, this gave us both .003" expansion and .004" would be plenty acceptable.

Mic the thickness of the necks of your brass. I make my own from RP brass and a .0145 thick neck gives me .0032 clearance with the .2962 reamer. So at .0145 thickness, you’ll have .005 expansion with the .298 reamer. At .015, you’ll have .004....
