I wonder if that new powder it to fast for the 6.5 PRC ? W-W web site list its use in 22/250 and 6mm Creed along with many other calibers. If it can shine in 22/250 ,perhaps 220 swift as well ?

Probably a little too fast with the powders Hodgdon has under their site reloading info. They don't list H4350 at all for any of the bullet weights and StaBall is near that burn rate. They also don't list StaBall but they do for other cartridges that use H4350 burn rate powders.

I wonder what the barrel life penalty is say in a dasher that uses 32.5 Varget vs 38 StaBall to achieve the same velocities? Unless it’s a crazy cool burning ball powder (doubtful), I would think there would be a noticeable drop in useful barrel life. 2000MR was one of those wonder ball powders for 223/308 but the barrel life was cut quite a bit compared to the standards like 8208. Is there any data on that from the testers?

Any of you guys pick staball yet and play with it? The only real info i've found is off of yourtube on johnny's reloading bench. Didn't do as good as h4350 in the temp variance. Looking to see if this "staball" would work in my brx in or around 35-36gr. Running it through my dillon would be a huge advantage...

Just back from the range burning 6.5 Staball in 3 cartridges
