New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
Yes, you have to bush the firing pin hole or you will run into issue. Gre'-Tan Rifles is who you want to contact for the service as they have a quick turn-around and do great work.
I don't know what the numbers are comparing a remington pin to my savage pin but I've never had issues with my non bushed savage on my 6.5x47. Probably wouldn't hurt though.
I have been running a 6-47 for the last couple years and was going to bush it but decided against it. Yes it craters the primers but I have not had any issues what's so ever.
If I was going to go through the trouble of getting it bushed, just order a new bolt from PTG and have it installed from the start.
